If you’re considering selling or buying an Icare Homecare Bed second hand, Icare Medical Group takes no responsibility of the product or transaction involved. Warranties are non-transferable. This form is designed for user peace of mind, that the bed has been sold/purchased in good faith that it is in good working order. This pre-purchase Second Hand Bed Checklist ensures all the key electrics and parts are in good working, and may prevent faults before the transaction is made.
It is recommended to have a technician perform a maintenance inspection before the bed is sold, and after the bed has been installed in new home.
Please download the Pre-purchase 2nd Hand Icare Bed Checklist.
It is likely to be condensation.
This can happen when the HydroSense is set to temperatures outside the recommended range. We recommended the HydroSense unit is only lowered to a minimum of 20°C and a maximum of 35°. The HydroSense Mattress Pad should be removed from the bed and aired out at least every TWO weeks. Hand wash as required. Also note; HydroSense units perform more effectively in a temperature controlled room.
Units should only be powered on when in use.
It is unlikely to be a leak in the pad/silicone tubes, they are high grade surgical tubes.
The cords do come quite tightly coiled, with gentle stretching out they should straighten out to almost 5 meters. We have a few solutions you can try at home.
Solution One: Check the installation.
When the bed was installed, maybe the handpiece cord was caught under the wheels or in some other part of the bed. First check that the cable is running directly from the control box out to the edge of the bed (the control box will be under the head section of the bed).
Solution Two: Start by stretching out the coils.
With use the coils will continue to soften and flex. Stretch the coils in small sections, working your way from the control box end of the cable out towards the handpiece.
Do this slowly and carefully, the coils will then be loosened (much like a telephone cord).
Solution Three: Switch handpiece to other side of bed.
By following the handpiece to the control box, the cable can then be swung through to the other side of the bed – maybe this maybe more helpful for those with Queen or Double size beds. But its worth a try. Just take care when doing this that the bed is not operating while tending to the cables underneath, and also check that the cord is not going to be trapped by any moving parts/metal sections.
Solution Four: Contact the store who supplied the bed to you.
Try calling the store who supplied you the bed, they maybe able to help you through the above solutions.

IC100 Static Bed
The Companion Base
Yes, but not as a pre-programmed button.
Every person has their own unique zero gravity position. Having the flexibility to adjust and tilt the bed, allows for the bed user and carers to achieve the specific position.
IC333 Homecare Bed Special Feature
When the comfortable position for the user is achieved, the user or carer is then able to make incremental adjustments using Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg functions to move the pressure points along the body contours. This helps to prevent carer injuries and the frequent repositioning of someone manually.
We offer FREE training workshops for Occupational Therapists and Dealers on Pressure Care – to find out more please CLICK HERE.
Yes IC333 beds have a heavy duty battery back-up. They are automatically charging when plugged into the power.
When the power fails, the battery power kicks in straight away and will provide use for up to a week with standard use.
The battery will recharge when the power supply is reconnected.
When the battery power is running low, a alarm will sound while the bed continues to operate (although slower than normal) it would need to be connected to power again urgently to recharge the battery.
With any two bed models ordered – we will usually check with you, to find out if you need these to be ‘a partner set-up’.
Any two beds put together – with a recessed surround in the centre; we call this ‘a partner set-up’.
Where two beds are together like this (with no gap between the mattresses) we need a partner diagram form.
If these are to be separate beds, we don’t need a diagram for the two separate beds.
For more information on partner set-ups – you can find it here or click here to download the information pack.

All beds and headboards are available in six choices:
Fabric: Onyx
Fabric: Stone
Fabric: Smoke
Fabric: Silver
Vinyl: Dove
Vinyl: Ebony
Note: Surcharges apply for the vinyl options.
Each bed must have its own headboard so the beds can raise and lower independently of each other. We carry them in all sizes to fit specially for partner set-ups.
The two partner beds push together so there is no gap between the mattresses. The wheels can be locked on both sides. We cannot join the two beds together, as this creates an entrapment issue.
Please note that in a Partner Configuration / Companion setup grab rails do not fit the internal recessed surround.
Yes, for sure. We recommend on low and medium settings only.
